The Passing of Professor Emeritus Erik Kristian Holst

It with great sadness that I just heard the news that Professor Emeritus Erik Kristian Holst has died. Erik was a man of principle, and stretched those in his field to think differently and was an advocate for the mistreated, especially victims of torture. Erik made the world a better place for many. He was an example to us all. I got to know Erik through the ICAR Foundation in Bucharest, where he worked as a consultant.
